Airports in BKK CLOSED

Starting last night the opposition political group in Thailand started staging demonstrations at both airports in BKK; Suvarnabhumi & Don Muang. Incoming and outgoing flights have grinded to a halt, stranding passengers coming and leaving Thailand.

I heard incoming flights to Thailand have been redirected to Phuket and Chiang Mai, but regardless it's a mess if you're trying to travel. However if you are in Thailand on vacation you'd barely notice anything, except occasional news reports. We'll keep you posted to when the airports are open again.

BKK Airport is still closed, though by most reports it will be re opened by Dec 5th. That's Fathers Day in Thailand (National Holiday).

There are flights out of U-tapao (about an hour from BKK / 45 minutes from Pattaya) but thousands of people are trying to leave through there so wouldn't advise it. If you can spare to stay an extra few days in Thailand enjoy the whores for another week ;)
