Even though Songkran is on April 19th today is the first unofficial day of Songrkran in Pattaya. Be ready to get wet if you're anywhere near pussy :)
Songkran tips: Don't care anything that can be damaged by water. Non waterproof cameras, watches, phones, ipods etc. You can get soaked with water at anytime and plenty have had their electronics ruined. Ziplock bags are useless but you can get a waterproof pouch at one of the camera stores (Tukcom, Royal Garden, Central).
If you need to protect your phone put it in a tied off condom. Strangly enough it works wonders. It can help keep your phone dry and you can talk and dial. Just don't use one of those sticky flavored ones :D
If you're a night owl head to Walking Street around 1am-2am. When the go gos close the girls will come out and LOTS of fun to be had spraying and splashing with water.
*** Be very careful if you drive a motorbike during this time. Buckets of water might get thrown on you without mercy and it can be dangerous to drive. So be careful and have fun!!!!
