Bringing the GF to the gogo.. WTF???

Last night I was sitting in Dollhouse on Soi Cowboy. On the other side of the stage was a farang guy with his Thai wife. She was probably in her mid 30's, and he was in his late 40's /early 50's.


Both looked fucking miserable.


I could maybe understand if they were picking up a girl, but taking a girlfriend to a gogo sounds like a recipe for disaster. I think it's a combination of girl wanting to show they 'own' him, and see what happens on a night out. In any case it looks like it sucks, and might fuck up some future pussy for the guy.


My guess was it was her idea :rolleyes:



My advice, DON'T DO IT!!!!

I agree it's nuts to take a girlfriend to a go-go with you. Even if she's totally down with the idea it will come back to bite you in the ass.


If you gotta do it, don't take her to one of your ususal places. Take her to some shitty place you dislike or never go to. That way she won't know where to look for you when she's pissed and crazy ;)

Yeah I've seen it myself many times, sometimes it looks like the wife is "westernised" as in been living in the west with the husband and both are here on holiday, the husband wants to go to the gogo to remember the good times when he met her and the wife is so pissed off about being dragged back to the gogo when she is now an upstanding member of their home community. I've also seen the other way, the wife splashes out buying all the ladies drinks and the husband is sat there pissed off to fuck wondering why he married her.

But saying that I've been out to gogo's with my lady many times and had great nights out, mostly going to bars she knows and has friends working there, but we always pop into a few others we have never been in along the way without any problems, although for sure she is more relaxed in the bars she has frieinds working.

It reminds me of my first visit to Thailand years ago, we'd go out in a group of maybe six lads, after a while we'd get spilt up at different bars. I'd be at one bar with a girl thats all happy and joking and having a good time, then I'd take her to another bar to meet up with my pals and she'd sit there all fucking morbid for the rest of the night, I noticed this more with the younger ones and especially if the girls in the bar she was working was mostly from their home village.
Maybe they have some code of practice for going to each others bars?
