Even though it's been going on ALL WEEK in Pattaya, tomorrow (Saturday April 19th) is the official big Songkran day. Get your water cannons and don't bring out any electronics that are not waterproof (cameras, phones, mp3 players, watches, etc)
The best spots to go are :
- Soi 1-6 on Beach and 2nd Roads)
- Soi 6 (beware of Ladyboys dumping garbage cans full of water from the rooftops)
- Soi 7 & 8, The beer bars are a wet war zone, with one side of the street spraying another, and everyone traveling up and down the street.
- Soi Buakaow (all long it ... plenty of places to be ambushed)
- Walking Street (more in the evening)
- Everywhere in between
If you head to ANY of these areas you WILL get wet, so expect it. Have a blast! :)
